Seeing the smiles on these children’s faces made us look back to why and how we started. It was a simple act of kindness, we had always envisioned a world where hunger does not exist, and where children have access to medical services and education. It was that worldly moment that we were influenced by these worldly ambitions. Up to this day, our volunteers continue to open people’s hearts. With these goals in our minds, we are grateful to Mindanao Humanitarian Volunteers for Peace for letting us be a part of their All-In-One Mission Project.
Recently, on July 22-23, 2022, at Green Island, Roxas, Palawan– The MJB Cares Foundation traveled to sponsor and be part of The 20th MHVP All-in-One Mission, along with the help of MBLT 3, the volunteers, and the donors, the mission was successful
The event’s mission was to serve the community’s medical needs, such as providing minor
surgeries, derma consultations, eye consultations, adult and pediatric consultations, legal consultations,
blood typing, and blood sugar tests, as well as taking part in community-building activities like
Football for Peace and Art for Peace. Ironically, people on the island seemed to be more cheerful and optimistic despite the fact that they had a shortage of supplies and health problems. Despite that, we knew exactly how crucial the mission was, we knew how it will greatly impact the community. By the book, More than 2000 people are expected to benefit from the Event but we were able to cater to a total of 3,860 beneficiaries.
The team would also like to extend our gratitude to the Local Government Unit of Green Island, Roxas, Palawan, and MBLT 3 for keeping the peace and order throughout the mission; as well as to our donors, for keeping an open heart,
