MJB Cares Foundation travels nearly 26 hours by land to Las Navas, Northern Samar, for the MHVP’s “29th All-In-One Mission,” despite the difficulties of such a long journey. On July 15–16, 2023, at Las Navas Central I School, Mindanao Humanitarian Volunteers for Peace volunteers—who hail from various regions of the Philippines—offered free services to the residents of Las Navas.
During this mission, we successfully provided aid to hundreds of beneficiaries residing in one of the Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs). The achievement was made possible through the collective cooperation of various organizations, including the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), notably the 20th Infantry (We Lead) Battalion and 8th Infantry (Stormtrooper) Division, the Department of Health (DOH) deployed at the Las Navas RHU, the Local Government Units (LGUs) of Las Navas, Samar, as well as the Cebu Chapter and Northern Samar Chapter of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP).
They experienced electrical problems that did not hinder the volunteers, despite this, they still continued to provide services, which shows that these selfless individuals embark on journeys fueled by compassion, embracing the world’s diversity, and proving that humanity’s collective resolve can conquer any obstacle. By transcending boundaries and extending a helping hand, this mission leaves an indelible mark on the hearts of both those served and those who serve, fostering a global network of empathy and solidarity. As long as there is suffering, there will be brave souls willing to endure everything to make a difference in the lives of others, reminding us all of the profound beauty of the human spirit.
We, the MJB CARES FOUNDATION, will continue as a steadfast supporter of humanitarian missions, demonstrating a deep commitment to making a positive impact on underserved communities around the Philippines. We will still inspire others to follow our path to make the world a better place for all.
