
MJB Cares Foundation, dedicated to improving healthcare access in underserved communities, conducted a successful healthcare mission in Candelaria, Zambales, on February 11-12, 2024. The mission aimed to provide necessary medical services to residents who face barriers to accessing healthcare.
In partnership with the Local Government Unit of Candelaria, Zambales, MHVP (Mindanao Humanitarian Volunteers for Peace), Budjong Integrated Humanitarian Mission, See International, EYE hEAR Foundation, Inc., Integrated Philippine Association of Optometrists, Inc. – Zambales Chapter, Hearing & Speech Rotary Club, Beach House ni Dok, DDCPH Corp., Magilas North Caloocan Eagles Club, Mabuhay Deseret Foundation, Municipal Health Office of Candelaria, and MJB Cares Dental Team.
During the two-day mission, the people of Candelaria, Zambales benefited the following services:
Adult Consultation: 432 patients
Pedia Consultation: 175 patients
Eye Check: 380 patients
Cataract Screening: 92 patients
Cataract Surgery: 36 patients
Minor Surgery: 36 patients
Circumcision: 31 patients
Tooth Extraction: 466 patients
Laboratory: 130 patients
Ear and Hearing Screening: 69 patients
X-ray Service: 130 patients
Rounding up to a total of 1,941 services fulfilled in this healthcare mission healthcare mission, addressing their immediate healthcare needs and providing them with essential medications and treatments.
We in the MJB Cares Foundation do not measure success through sheer numbers instead, success is measured through the genuine smiles we bring to the people we serve.
This mission wouldn’t be possible without dedicated volunteers, healthcare professionals and partner organizations that helped make this mission possible and successful.
