In our present time where healthcare is often taken for granted, it is time to accept the uncomfortable truth: not everyone has equal access to quality healthcare facilities and medication which limits the improvement of the people’s health.
On November 21-22, MJB Cares Foundation found themselves at Silvino Lobus, Northern Samar where basic needs like healthcare are at scarces due to its geological placement challenging those who attempt to provide.
An All-In-One Mission hosted by the MHVP (Mindanao Humanitarian Volunteers for Peace), allowed the MJB Cares Foundation to–once again–express their fighting spirit when it comes to providing services for the greater good of the people. Assisted by the Local Government Unit of Silvino Lobus and the 19th Infantry (Commando) Battalion, 8ID, PA to ensure a smooth sailing operation.
Despite the heavy rainfall, the two (2) days medical mission, provided medical services to over 2,000 beneficiaries of Barangay Silvino Lobus. We have dedicatedly offered medical services such as minor surgeries, circumcisions, eye check-ups, and both adult and pediatric examinations. Additionally, the foundation wholeheartedly supplied the prescribed medicines on-site as directed by the doctors.
Together with MHVP, Budjong Integrated Humanitarian Missions, Eyehear Foundation, and Mabuhay Deseret Foundation, MJB Cares Foundation hopes to leave a lasting impression on people’s lives. May this medical mission present a great example for people to follow, a spectacle of kindness and empathy over anything else.
