Kicking off the year with a Medical Mission!
We all moved forward – leaving 2022 behind and welcome 2023. The MJB Cares foundation continues to stick to its core values of compassion and commitment as it joined the recently concluded Mindanao Humanitarian Volunteers for Peace’s 25th All in One Medical Mission in partnership with the 14th Civil-Military Operation Battalion (14CMOBn) under Joint Task Group Cebu (JTG-Cebu) in Gibitngil, Cebu, last January 11–13, 2023. The said mission served approximately 2,200 beneficiaries who benefited from Adult Consultation, Pediatric Consultation, Cataract Surgery, Circumcision, Cervical Cancer Screening, Minor Surgery, Haircut, Reading Glasses Distribution, Sardines Production Demonstration for Fishermen, Food Packs Distribution, and Free Legal Advice.
This successful medical mission would not have transpired if it wasn’t because of the strong alliance between the different stakeholders: JTG Cebu 14thCMOBn, Eye Hear Foundation, Mabuhay Deseret Foundation, MJB Cares Foundation, Budjong Integrated Humanitarian Missions, Mindanao Volunteers for Peace, Intergrated Bar of the Philippines and the local provincial government of Medellin. We are eternally grateful for the Doctors, the AFP, volunteers, Local Government Unit, Donors for always choosing to do activities out of love and compassion for conflict-affected, geographically isolated, and disadvantaged areas.
The year we are in may have changed.
The MJB Cares Foundation shall not.
