On May 15, 2023, the MJB Cares Foundation, in partnership with the Integrated Philippine Association of Optometrists-Batangas Chapter (IPAO), successfully distributed 79 prescription glasses in Mabini, Batangas.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dra. Maryrose B. Alea, the President of the Integrated Association of Optometrists-Batangas Chapter, and her dedicated team of doctors, namely Dr. Oliva B. Cabiling, Dr. Thelma M. Mendoza, Dr. Loreta A. Pamarang, and Dr. Elvira A. Ragas. They generously provided free eye check-ups to the beneficiaries during the MJB Cares Foundation’s Health Care Mission 2023, which took place on April 29, 2023.
Poor vision remains one of the world’s largest unaddressed disabilities. In nine out of ten cases, lives could be transformed with access to a simple pair of glasses. The daily challenges faced by those with poor eyesight are unimaginable, as it affects their ability to perform everyday tasks. However, the distribution of prescription glasses now equips these individuals with clear vision, making a substantial difference in their lives.
MJB Cares Foundation will keep lending a helping hand to the people who need it. “We will leave a legacy by touching the lives of people.”
