The Aftermath of Bagyong Oddette

Months may have passed but the effect of Typhoon Odette last December 2021 can still be felt by the residents of Surigao Province.  As reported by PAGASA, the amount of rain released by Typhoon Odette was higher than that brought by Super Typhoon Yolanda.

Surigao del Norte, Dinagat Island, and Southern Leyte are just a part of the several provinces in Visayas and Mindanao that were heavily affected by the said typhoon. The rummaging typhoon destroyed electrical posts and houses, which left most of the families without roofs and lights for days.

On February 4th of 2022, the DDCPH Corp, in partnership with Dra Maria Theresa Villaluz Heyrosa and Budjong First Responders, Inc., Traveled to barangay Magsaysay in General Luna Siargao to provide support. The effort of the aforementioned companies led to the distribution of Mosquito Nets, Plates, blankets, glasses, spoons and forks, and Solar Lights/panels to roughly 200 families. Seeing how these act of kindness lightened up their faces gave everyone warmth, even amidst the cold breeze and heavy rain.

To all volunteers and donors, your act of kindness creates a ripple effect.
